Cristiano Ronaldo fighting Lionel Messi?

Lionel Messi was the scorer of two goals on Saturday against Atletico Madrid, but in Real Madrid’s game against Xerez the following day, the former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo also scored two goals, which now makes him one goal ahead of Messi in the La Liga top scoring chart.
It is said that the Portuguese player had a lot of fun in his league game at the weekend, and therefore, when he was substituted by his coach Pellegrini, Ronaldo showed openly his disagreement with his manager’s decision.
Unsurprisingly, many people went on to think that Cristiano would have loved to score a hat-trick, as he declared himself that he was confident of getting one more goal in the game. However, it is easy to think that the main reason why Ronaldo was looking for a third goal was because he wanted to make his road to the Pichichi Honor more comfortable; being aware of his rival Lionel Messi’s positiveness in front of goal this season.
Perhaps, Messi plays his league games with a clear mind, hoping to help his side clinch 3 points per match, but it seems Ronaldo would like to get the ball at the back of the net as many times as he can in other to surpass his challenger in this year’s La Liga goal ranking.
Well, suggestions, debates, and discussions have certainly been raised out of this issue – and in the meantime, LMF would like to hear from you on your thoughts toward this story.

Solo Goal Celebration From Cristiano Ronaldo

crisEverything about Cristiano Ronaldo becomes news. And that’s including his solo goal celebration, when he scored 2 goals against Valencia on El Real last Liga match.
It was an important match for Los Blancos, especially after the El Clasico defeat. Victory over Valencia was believed to be a positive injection to gain their convidence. And when until the second half they haven’t made a single goal, they began to frustrated. So Cristiano first goal was supposed to be a relief and exciting moment for all the player. But instead of celebrating with joy and excitement, they prefer to be calm, and leave the Portuguese player to enjoy the celebration  alone. Of course few of the team-mates were congratulated him, such as Pepe, Marcelo, Ozil and Lass. But none of other player approached him afterwards.
And after he made his second goal, it got worse. No mate came towards him, until he had to ran to the bench, celebrated with Dudek on the subs, and later Marcelo and Alonso congratulated him. Clearly, it was a quite celebration.
The daily El Mundo Deportivo had their own conclusion regarding this reaction. They wrote about Cristiano “rocky” relationship with the players in Real Madrid, and that it was a reflection of how Cristiano bad behaviour is affecting the players. And even Iker Casillas was called as one of the most dissatisfied player with the winger. And that’s not all. El Mundo also wrote about Valdano’s concern about this matter, and he will bring this dissatisfaction problem to Florentino Perez.
Could this be true ?
But then again, this news could be a total lie, since it came from Barcelona’s press. It’s not a surprise to read Cristiano as a villain in Spanish Sport news. Besides, come to think of it, all Real’s player have just been facing a terrible match against Barcelona on a previous match, and it consider as the biggest humiliation moments for them. Getting back on their feet is a hard thing to do, and it might reduce the celebration excitement.

Lionel Messi: El Clasico Was Not About Me Against Cristiano Ronaldo

Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo PicturesFollowing Lionel Messi’s goal in the 2-0 defeat of Real Madrid in El Clasico, journalists rushed to ask Messi is he felt like he had beaten Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of individual battle. In response to their questions, this is what the Barcelona star declared.
“It wasn’t about that (Cristiano Ronaldo v Lionel Messi). FC Barcelona were superior to Real Madrid, and that’s all that matters.
“We gained three very important points at the Bernabeu Stadium. We are leading La Liga alone, and now we have a real advantage for the rest of the tournament.
“As for the Champions League? Let’s go one step at a time and we can make more history. A lot more – if it comes our way, but we need to keep on working hard to clinch cups.”
Lionel Messi didn’t score in the 3-0 win of Barcelona at home to Deportivo La Coruna, but he is still the top scorer of La Liga with 27 goals. Barcelona however have 6 more games to go in the competition, and Real Madrid could catch them if ever they missed vital points in the next weeks.

Lionel Messi: Cristiano Ronaldo Is Great, Real Madrid Are Dangerous

Real Madrid's Cristiano RonaldoBarcelona favorite Lionel Messi made his point to the media two days ago by confessing that Real Madrid’s pursuit in La Liga and Cristiano Ronaldo’s form was really threatening the Spanish League leaders Barca.
Lionel Messi was pretty straight forward while speaking his word, and he didn’t hesitate to praise the Madrid side, as well as Cristiano Ronaldo – despite implicitly putting emphasis on their reduced 2-point gap at the top of La Liga.
A short interview on Sky Sports quoted Messi saying:
“From what I’ve seen, Real Madrid are very strong and Cristiano Ronaldo is looking great, in good shape, as he proved with a glorious free-kick (against Villarreal at the weekend).
“I am sure that they will be fighting for trophies at the end of the season.”
In reference to Barcelona’s 4-0 victory against Racing Santander last Saturday evening, Lionel Messi admitted that the Catalans were not at their full best.
“Of course, we weren’t playing as we normally had to play, but the important thing is that we won because that was the target,” Messi explained.
“There are always days when things do not go so well, like against Racing (Santander) and Atletico (Madrid). We cannot fall into deep disappointment simply because of one or two games went badly though.”

Real Madrid vs Barcelona: Lionel Messi Face-To-Face With Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo Lionel MessiYes, “It’s not going to be Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi”, this is what the Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo said to journalists before El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Well, the “Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi” clash is among the most exciting individual fights that a football fan can ever enjoy in football, and most soccer followers will be looking ahead to the hit between both players at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.
Lionel Messi has scored already 5 goals this month in only 2 games, and tomorrow evening, he will come up face-to-face with Cristiano Ronaldo – the ace of Real Madrid.
Barcelona are second in La Liga table, but unbelievable contributions from Lionel Messi have giving them the opportunity to keep the pressure on rivals Real Madrid.

Lionel Messi’s Poor Dive on Carvalho’s Elbow

It wasn’t the best performance from the striker Lionel Messi, as he barely showed a contribution in El Clasico match yesterday night. Even though Real Madrid players got crushed by the host, they still did their job pretty well in guarding the Argentinian for not able to make any move.
Not able to fill his score list, Messi tried to save his face by pulling out a poorly dive on Ricardo Carvalho.
It was when Messi got fall after a challenge from Carvalho. The ref didn’t call it as a foul, so Messi got pretty upset. Carvalho was walking away from him and tell him to stand up quickly, when Messi approached Carvalho from behind. Carvalho then swing his hand in order to try to ignore Messi’s protest, slightly…repeated….slightly. Then Messi’s face touched Carvalho’s elbow, and Messi saw this as an opportunity to gain advantage, and after a second, he fall.
Barcelona v Real Madrid - La Liga
Luckily, the ref was clever enough to see that Messi wasn’t going anywhere with the act, and instead of giving a yellow on Carvalho, he booked Messi for provoking. Too bad the video of the incident has been removed by the user, so we can’t show it here.

Cristiano Ronaldo To Score His 50th Goal This Year

2010 is not a successful year for the Real Madrid top scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo. Not only he was being left out from Balon d’Or finalist, this year, or we might say last season, he failed to win any title with Real Madrid, aswell as his sellecao team. But before this year comes to an end, he aims for another achievement, to score his 50th goal in 2010.
So far, he already collects 45 goals, which are 36 goals from La liga, 5 from Champions League match, 3 from his national team, and 1 goal from Copa del Rey. He only needs 5 more goals to complete his target, and he has 3 more games until the end of the month.
Tonight, against Zaragoza, hopefully he will be able to ad not just one goal but 2 or maybe more.
For your information, during his 9 years of professional football career, he recorded 208 goals, in official match, and there’s plenty more to come.
